How tiny can robots get, and can they help with needs of the human body? This is what a group of scientists from the University of Tel-Aviv seek to learn more about as they investigate the creation of a cell-sized micro-robot that can recognize and seize other cells while being guided and controlled by electric and magnetic systems. They discovered this new micro-robot can perform a variety of tasks, including navigating between cells within a biological sample, determining if the cell is healthy or dying, and even capture and inject a drug or genetic material into the captured cell, as well.
