According to a recent study that was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the interior of Mars exhibits seismic waves exactly like the Earth does. Researchers were able to directly measure the Martian core using seismic data gathered by NASA’s InSight lander. They also confirmed that the Martian core is fully made up of liquid iron-alloy with significant levels of oxygen and sulfur. The Earth, on the other hand, has a solid inner core and a liquid outer core, which may enable researchers to better comprehend the geological differences between Earth and Mars as well as the genesis and evolution of the Red Planet.
