Researchers from Binghamton University and the Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) of the U.S. Department of Energy recently worked together on a study that was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences to investigate oxidation reactions that may one day improve clean energy solutions.For the study, the researchers used spectroscopy to observe hydrogen oxidation of peroxides on the surface of copper oxide while simultaneously reducing carbon monoxide oxidation.
