Asteroids and comets occasionally receive attention from the scientific community, in addition to the planets and moons of our solar system. Not simply because they are made up of fragments of the early solar system, but also because they are fascinating visual phenomena. This especially true with comets, as their bright tails that create incredible spectacles are the result of their icy components evaporating as they get travel close to our Sun. Asteroids, on the other hand, are quite dull because they are primarily made of rock and dust.Asteroid 3200 Phaethon with its comet-like tail as depicted in an artwork. Phaethon’s surface becomes so hot that sodium within its rocky structure may evaporate and vent into space.
