Since 2022, Shea Zuckerman has been a Project Engineer at Textron Aviation, where she is part of the Special Missions Group, which is in charge of replacing the U.S. Navy’s current fleet of training aircraft. After working from 2017 to 2022 as the Career and Tech Ed STEM Lab Director at WSU Tech.Our best goal in life, according to aviation expert and project manager Zuckerman, is to use our skills to be of service to others while enhancing our community. He has a lifelong love for self-improvement and teaching.In honour of National Aviation Day this year, Labroots Science Writer Laurence Tognetti sat down with Zuckerman to discuss his interest in aviation, how he ended up working as an engineer at Textron Aviation, and what it’s like to be an engineer.
